The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act TKG 2021).

1. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by a European hosting provider. When you visit the website, server log files are recorded automatically (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type). This data serves technical security and error analysis (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is automatically deleted after a short period of time.

2. Fonts, images and videos

All fonts, images and videos on this website are loaded locally from our server. Simply visiting the site does not transmit any data to third parties.

3. Cookies and consent

This website works without cookies that are not technically necessary. Only if you give your consent via our cookie notice are services for statistics and marketing loaded (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your selection at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

4. Statistics and marketing (only with consent)

With your consent, we use Google services (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads; provider: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as well as Meta services (Meta Pixel; provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland) to analyse the use of the website and measure advertising. In doing so, data may be transferred to the USA; the providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The storage period of the cookies used is up to 24 months.

5. Table reservations

For reservations, we operate our own reservation system on our server. We process the data you provide: name, e-mail address, phone number, date, time, number of guests, selected occasion or event, and optionally a note and date of birth. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or the implementation of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is stored for as long as necessary to handle the reservation and to meet statutory retention obligations. Our team is notified internally by electronic means of incoming reservations.

6. Payments for events

For paid events or reservations with a card on file, payment processing is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland). Your card details are processed directly by Stripe and never reach our server. Details: stripe.com/at/privacy.

7. Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your e-mail address and your name on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, double opt-in). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every e-mail or by sending us a message.

8. Your rights

You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent given, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with us (office@munchy.at) or with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
